“The workshops are free to members of the community. Participants receive education, guidance and support on “disease of addiction” healthy boundaries & communication, family dynamics and recovery in a supportive environment. Participants have an opportunity for Q&A and sharing experience, strength and hope with each other.

Families can learn about the disease of addiction, what is meant by “recovery” and how one can best support a loved one struggling with active addiction or early recovery.
 
To ensure the health and safety of workshop attendees, we ask that all attendees please wear a mask. Temperatures will be taken prior to the start of the group and there is ample room in the auditorium for social distancing practices.
 
Participants are asked not to attend if they have the following symptoms are recently been around someone who has:
  • Coughing
  • Shortness of breath/difficulty breathing
  • Fever/chills
  • Muscle pain
  • Sore throat
  • Loss of taste or smell

Burr has worked in state licensed inpatient addiction treatment centers and detoxification facilities as a nurse, counselor, program developer, educator and director of admissions. My experience and knowledge of the intervention, treatment and recovery process has given me the resources and skill needed to implement comprehensive, effective recovery plans for addicts and their families.
